Most 3D printed Halloween decorations sit still. Ours bend. Every skeleton, bat, crow and pumpkin in this post is a flexi toy, printed in one piece with its joints already working, so you can sit a skeleton on a bookshelf, hang a bat from a picture frame, or curl a dragon around a candle jar and it holds the pose until November.
This guide is for anyone decorating a shelf, filling treat bags, or buying a spooky gift. It walks through the Halloween side of our catalog, what each piece costs, which sizes suit which job, and when to order so it arrives before October 31. For a shelf, pick one Large or X-Large piece as the centerpiece and surround it with Minis; for treat bags, the $1 Micro does the job candy does and lasts a lot longer.
The 3D Printed Halloween Decorations in Our Catalog
We do not have a Halloween collection, because nothing here is seasonal stock. The spooky designs sit across the catalog, and we print them all year. Here is what fits the season.
Skeletons: the classic Skeleton, the Skeleton Astronaut, and eight skeleton dinosaurs, plus two small bone keychains.
Night creatures: three bats and a crow that comes with an optional skull.
The pumpkin: one design in six sizes, from a 1 inch Micro to a 6 inch X-Large.
Dark display pieces: the Lunar Dragon, the Infected Dragon and the Void Octopus, for collectors who want something larger and stranger.
The spider and tarantula fit here too. We covered them with the rest of the bugs, so they get only a mention below.
Skeletons: The Classic, the Astronaut and Eight Skeleton Dinos
The skeletons are the backbone of a flexi Halloween shelf, and they come in two families with different size menus.
The Skeleton and the Skeleton Astronaut
The 3D printed Skeleton is a human skeleton that sits, bends and curls. It runs on our classic size ladder: Micro (1 in) $1, Mini (1.5 in) $1.75, Regular (2 in) $2.75, Large (3 in) $6, X-Large (6 in) $15, and Keychain $7.
The Skeleton Astronaut is the same idea in a space suit, on the same ladder except the X-Large, which is $16. It suits a child who likes space more than ghosts, and it looks right on a desk long after October.
The skeleton dinosaurs
Eight skeleton dinos share one menu: T-Rex, Raptor, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Pteranodon and Mammoth. Each comes in Baby at $5, Regular at $12 and XL at $35. The sizes have no inch labels, and the jump from Regular to XL is bigger than the names suggest.
A Regular skeleton T-Rex next to a 6 inch X-Large human Skeleton makes a good pairing on a mantel. The whole range is in our dinosaur collection.
Bones for a backpack
The Bone T-Rex Keychain and the Bone Shark are both $5, the cheapest way to carry a skeleton around. The Bone Shark can be ordered as a keychain or as the shark alone.
Bats and a Crow for Shelves, Frames and Doorways
Bats and crows are the pieces that look best off the shelf, hanging or perched somewhere unexpected.
The Bat runs from a $1 Micro to a $15 X-Large, with the Large at $7 and a Keychain at $8. The wings fold and stretch, so a Large hooked over the top of a frame looks like it landed there.
The Mini Bat is about 3 inches, one size, $7 on its own or $8 with a keychain ring. It hangs upside down from a finger, which is most of its appeal.
The Fruit Bat is also $7 or $8 with a ring. Its face is friendly rather than spooky, so it suits a younger child or a bat fan who wants one on the desk all year.
The Crow has a Skull option, and that is the reason it belongs in this post. With the skull, it is $2 in Micro, $3.50 in Mini, $5.50 in Regular and $14 in Large. Without it, the Crow runs from $1 to $7 across those sizes, the X-Large is $14 and comes crow only, and the crow-only Keychain is $8. A Large crow on its skull, in black, is the most gothic thing we print.
The Pumpkin, the Dark Dragons and Other Shelf Pieces
The Pumpkin is a print-in-place pumpkin on the classic ladder: $1 Micro, $1.75 Mini, $2.75 Regular, $6 Large, $15 X-Large and $7 Keychain. It is the one decoration that does not have to come down on November 1, because it suits a Thanksgiving table just as well.
For a collector who wants a single large piece, three designs stand out.
The Lunar Dragon has its own color menu: Black/Purple, Black/Red or Black/White. It comes as a 4 inch Tadling at $12 or a 24 inch dragon at $40. Black/Purple is the one pictured, and it reads as Halloween without any orange at all. Our dragon collection has the rest of the range.
The Infected Dragon is 24 inches, one size, $45, with a textured, corrupted look across the whole body. In a dark green or grey it is the closest thing we make to a monster.
The Void Octopus is $18 in one size and always prints in a random color, single or mixed. You can note a preference in the Custom color box and we lean that way when filament allows.
The Spider and Tarantula work here too. A 6 inch X-Large Spider at $15 is the size that makes a guest look twice.
Halloween Treat Bags With Micro and Mini Flexis
A flexi in a treat bag outlasts the candy by months, and at the small sizes it costs about a dollar a bag.
The Micro at 1 inch is $1 on the Skeleton, Bat, Pumpkin, Crow and most of the classic ladder. Thirty Micros is $30, just under the $35 free shipping line, so five more covers the spares and the shipping in one go.
The Mini at 1.5 inches is $1.75 and reads as a proper toy rather than a charm. Twenty Minis is $35, which ships free.
Mixing designs is normal. Ten Skeletons, ten Bats and ten Pumpkins in Micro make a bag of thirty that feels like a set. Each design is its own product page, so add each one separately.
Our pieces are not intended for children under 3. Micros and Minis are small enough to be a choking hazard. If toddlers come to your door, keep a separate bowl of Regulars at 2 inches, or hand them something else.
Colors That Make a Flexi Read as Halloween
Most of these designs have no color menu. You type what you want in the Custom color box above Add to cart, and it costs the same as any other color.
Black and orange is the obvious dual-color pairing, and it works best on the Bat and the Pumpkin, where the body is long enough to show both.
Bone white is the right choice for the Skeleton if you want it to look like a skeleton. A white skeleton on a dark shelf is easier to see than a black one.
Purple and green look spookier than black under low light, because black pieces disappear into a dark corner.
The skeleton dinos have a Color menu: Single, Dual, Rainbow - Will Vary, Surprise Me!! and Girl Colors. Pick Single or Dual and type the exact colors in the Custom color box.
If the filament you ask for is out when your order comes up, we message you with the closest match before printing. We do not sell a glow-in-the-dark option on any design right now.
When to Order 3D Printed Halloween Decorations for October 31
Every piece is printed after you order, so timing matters more in October than any other month except December.
Printing takes one to three business days, and shipping takes two to five business days in transit. A typical order arrives three to eight business days after you place it. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so an order placed by about October 19 leaves comfortable margin. Later than that, choose pickup.
Pickup removes the transit time. Choose Pickup at checkout to collect free in Como once your order is printed.
Canton Trade Days covers both ends of the month. We are at Pavilion 4200, booth 4268/4269, from October 1 to 4 and again from October 29 to November 1. You can order online, then email sales@cosmic3dcreations.com to collect at the booth on the Thursday or Friday before Halloween. The dates are on our events page.
Common Questions About 3D Printed Halloween Decorations
Can I put them outside on the porch?
Not in direct sun for long. PLA softens above about 140°F, and a dark piece sitting in full sun warms up faster than the air around it. A covered porch or a front window out of direct sun is fine, and so is anywhere indoors.
Do any of them glow in the dark?
No. We do not currently offer glow filament on any design. For a lit display, a small battery light behind a white Skeleton or a Black/White Lunar Dragon does more than glow filament would.
Will they survive being packed away until next year?
Yes. Store them somewhere cool and dry, and keep the large dragons coiled loosely rather than bent tight. A quick wipe with a soft cloth is all they need when they come back out.
Can I order a matching set in one color?
Yes. Add each design to the cart and type the same color in each Custom color box. For a large set with a fixed date, send us the list through the contact form and we will confirm the timing.
Choose 3D Printed Halloween Decorations by Where They Will Hang
Start with the spot. A shelf wants one large piece and a few small ones around it. A doorframe or picture frame wants a bat or a crow. A treat bowl wants Micros. Once you know the spot, the size picks itself, and the color is a line in the Custom color box.
The nice part of 3D printed Halloween decorations that move is that you can repose them every year, so the same skeleton can sit in a different chair next October.
At Cosmic 3D Creations, every skeleton, bat and pumpkin is printed to order in Como, Texas and checked joint by joint before it is packed. Order by mid-October for delivery, pick up in Como, or come find us at Canton Trade Days on October 29 to November 1 and take your decorations home the same weekend.
