We added ten new dragon figurines to the shop on October 14, and none of them existed when we wrote our dragon buyer's guide in September. They run from two $8 pocket dragons to a $15 dragon that comes with its own castle, and seven $25 display dragons, three of them built around a hobby: a dragon asleep on a book, a dragon in a football helmet and a dragon made of gears.
Every one is a flexi toy, printed in place as one articulated piece in premium PLA, so the body curls and the pose holds on a shelf. Each has a single price with no size menu, so choosing comes down to the design and the colors.
If you are buying dragon figurines for someone with a hobby, start with the Book, Football or Steampunk Dragon; if you want the most dragon for the least money, start with the $8 Small Dragon or the $15 Dragon and Castle.
Ten New Dragon Figurines in Our Catalog
Here is the whole group, by price. None of these pages list an inch size, so we have not quoted one here either. The photos on each page show the dragon with its props, which gives the best sense of scale.
$8: the Small Dragon and the Mini Wing Dragon.
$15: the Dragon and Castle, which is one dragon and one castle.
$25: the Book Dragon, Football Dragon, Steampunk Dragon, Peacock Dragon, Rose Wing Dragon, Fire Dragon, and Black and White Dragon.
Two more dragons arrived the same day, the Mini Berry Dragon and the S'mores Dragon. We covered them in our guide to food themed toys, so we leave them out here. The older dragons, from the $1 Micro to the 24 inch Crystal Dragon, are all in the dragons collection.
The $8 Pocket Dragons: Small Dragon and Mini Wing Dragon
These two are the low end of the new group and the easiest to give in quantity.
The Small Dragon has a rounded head with two horns, big friendly eyes and a row of pointed spikes down its segmented back. The body curls and wiggles and the legs move. Our photo shows two versions side by side, blue with black and purple with white.
The Mini Wing Dragon is longer and slimmer. It has a purple head with pointed ears, a pair of white feathered wings, dark spots down its back and a white fin at the tip of its tail. The long body curls and twists more than the Small Dragon's does, so it suits someone who likes to fidget.
At $8 each, two of them cost less than one of the $25 designs. They fit a stocking, a party favor bag or a pocket.
The Dragon and Castle Is a $15 Set
This is the only new dragon that comes with a building. The set is one baby dragon and one castle: a round tower and a gatehouse with battlements, brick corners and an arched doorway. The dragon has big shiny eyes, little horns and a spiky back. You can drape it over the wall or tuck it through the gate, and it holds the pose.
The castle gives a child something to play with besides the dragon itself. It is a small scene on its own, and the other dragons in this post can join it on a shelf.
Our photo shows two sets. One is a blue and white dragon with black wings on a white castle, and the other is a purple and white dragon on a black castle. You can choose separate colors for the dragon and the castle. Write both in the Custom color box, for example "dragon green and gold, castle grey".
Dragon Figurines for a Hobby: Book, Football and Steampunk
These three are the easiest dragon figurines to match to a person, because each one shows something they already love.
The Book Dragon
The Book Dragon is fast asleep on a good book. It has a round, sleepy face with closed eyes, soft rounded ears, small folded wings and a long tail that drapes over the edge. The printed books come with it. Our photos show an orange and yellow dragon on a brown book and a lavender dragon on a teal book. It suits a reader, a librarian, a teacher or a bookshelf.
The Football Dragon
The Football Dragon wears a helmet with a face guard, has rows of tall spikes down its long body and carries a printed football of its own. It can coil around the ball, stretch across a shelf or curl into a huddle. The photo shows navy and silver with a brown football. Type a team's colors in the Custom color box and it becomes a gift for a fan, a player or a coach.
The Steampunk Dragon
The Steampunk Dragon looks as if it was built in a clockwork workshop. Gold gears sit on its head, back and wings, and its long body is covered in plated segments with rows of small cutouts, like machine parts bolted together. The photo shows black with shiny gold. Copper and bronze, or silver and black, also suit the design. It fits someone who builds things, fixes things or reads steampunk fiction.
Four Display Dragons: Peacock, Rose Wing, Fire, and Black and White
These four are about looks rather than a hobby. Each is a long, articulated dragon that can coil into a ring, drape over a shelf edge or stretch out flat.
The Peacock Dragon has feather plumes with round eyespots covering its wings, back and tail. The photo shows lime green with bright blue eyespots in a silky finish. For something closer to a real peacock, ask for royal blue and purple.
The Rose Wing Dragon has white roses blooming on its head, along its spine and across wide, pointed wings. It has gold horns and a striped face. The photo shows a teal and green body with wings that fade from pink to purple to blue. Red roses on a black body is another way to order it.
The Fire Dragon has scales shaped like flickering flames, orange and red with white tips, swept-back white horns and big rounded wings. The photo shows yellow, orange and red. Blue or purple flames are a Custom color box request away.
The Black and White Dragon is all contrast: a white body covered in black spots, tall black spines and broad black wings. The same pattern works in other pairs, such as white with purple spots.
What a Set of Dragon Figurines Costs
Every design in this post has one price, so a set is simple to add up. Shipping is free on orders over $35 with Economy shipping, and $3.99 below that.
A pocket pair is the Small Dragon and the Mini Wing Dragon: $16, plus $3.99 shipping.
A castle scene is the Dragon and Castle, the Small Dragon, the Mini Wing Dragon and the Mini Berry Dragon: $39, with free shipping.
A hobby dragon with a castle is any $25 dragon plus the Dragon and Castle: $40, with free shipping. A $25 dragon on its own comes to $28.99 with shipping, so adding the $15 set costs only $11.01 more.
A display shelf of the Peacock, Rose Wing, Fire, and Black and White Dragons is $100, with free shipping.
Choosing Colors for Dragon Figurines
None of these dragons has a color menu. The photo shows our suggested colors, and the Custom color box above Add to cart is where you ask for anything else.
Name the parts. Most of these designs have more than one area to color: body and wings, dragon and castle, dragon and book, dragon and football. Say which color goes where, such as "body black, gears copper".
Leave it blank to get the colors in the photo.
If a color is out when your order comes up, we message you with the closest match before we print.
For more on how colors work across the shop, see our 3D printed dragon buyer's guide, which covers single, dual and rainbow colors on the older dragons.
Common Questions About Dragon Figurines
How big are these dragon figurines?
The product pages do not give an inch size for these ten designs, so we will not guess here. If size matters for a shelf or a gift box, send us a message through the contact page and ask before you order.
Do the props move?
No. The dragon is the articulated part. The book, football and castle are printed pieces that the dragon sits on, holds or guards.
Are they good for young children?
The $8 dragons and the Dragon and Castle are the simpler, more compact shapes. The $25 dragons have long tails, thin wings and spikes, so they suit older children and adults, or a shelf.
How fast do they ship?
Each one is printed to order and ships within 1 to 3 business days. To collect at our Canton Trade Days booth instead, message us before you order. The next show is October 29 to November 1.
Pick Dragon Figurines by the Person, Then the Price
Start with who the dragon is for. A reader gets the Book Dragon, a fan gets the Football Dragon and a tinkerer gets the Steampunk Dragon. Someone who simply likes dragons gets the Peacock, Rose Wing, Fire, or Black and White. For a child, or for a stack of small gifts, the $8 dragons and the $15 Dragon and Castle go further.
Then use the Custom color box to make it theirs, whether that means team colors, a favorite color or a match to their room.
At Cosmic 3D Creations, every dragon figurine is printed to order in Como, Texas, in the colors you ask for, and we check every joint before it ships. If you would like to see them in person first, find us at Canton Trade Days, booth 4268/4269. The show dates are on our events page.
