Cryptid Toys: Bigfoot, Little Nessie, Moth Man and Four More Flexi Legends

Meet the Cryptid Flexis: blog cover from Cosmic 3D Creations with 3D printed flexi toys

Cryptid toys are small figures of creatures people claim to have seen but nobody has caught: Bigfoot in the woods, Nessie in the lake, Moth Man on a bridge at night. We now print seven of them as flexi toys, each one printed in place with joints that bend and hold a pose.

This guide is for anyone who loves a good legend, buys for a child who does, or wants something stranger than a dog or a dragon on the desk. It covers every design, the two very different size menus, what a full set costs, and the colors that make each one read as the creature it is. The short version: Bigfoot and the Alien come in six sizes from $1, while Moth Man, Nessie, Cthulhu and the Werewolf come in one size at $7, or $8 with a keychain ring.

Seven Cryptid Toys in Our Catalog

Here is the whole group, with what each one is and how it is sold.

Bigfoot stands upright in shaggy brown with a tan face, tan hands and two very large bare feet. Six sizes plus a Keychain.

The Alien is bright green with a big round head, two large black eyes and long webbed feet. Six sizes plus a Keychain.

Little Moth Man has a round head, two textured antennae, big black eyes and small moth wings at its back. One size, with or without a keychain.

Little Nessie has a round head on a curved neck, flippers and a segmented body ending in a short tail. One size, with or without a keychain.

Little Cthulhu is a chubby sea creature with an octopus-style head, a beard of little tentacles and two small wings. One size, with or without a keychain.

Little Werewolf stands on two feet with rounded ears, a black nose and a carved fur texture. One size, with or without a keychain.

The Jackalope is a rabbit with antlers, and it has been in our woodland group for a while. One size, $7.

Strictly speaking, not all seven are cryptids. The Alien comes from the sky rather than the woods, and Cthulhu comes from a story rather than a sighting. They sit together because the people who want one usually want the others.

Bigfoot and the Alien: Six Sizes From $1

These two use our classic size ladder, the same one most of our animals use. The prices are identical for both:

  • Micro (1 in): $1
  • Mini (1.5 in): $1.75
  • Regular (2 in): $2.75
  • Large (3 in): $6
  • X-Large (6 in): $15
  • Keychain: $7, with a ring for keys or a backpack

Both stand upright and move at the arms, the middle and the legs. That means they can wave, twist and take a step, then stay in the pose you set. The Bigfoot flexi looks best mid-stride, with one big foot forward like the famous blurry film. The Alien looks best with one hand raised.

Which size to pick

Micro and Mini are pocket pieces. They suit treat bags, a desk drawer or a child who wants to hide Bigfoot around the house.

Regular and Large are the handling sizes. A 3 inch Bigfoot fits a hand well and is easy to pose.

X-Large at 6 inches is the display piece. It stands on a shelf and holds its pose, and the large feet help it stay upright.

The Little Four: Moth Man, Nessie, Cthulhu and the Werewolf

These four belong to a newer line of small designs, all named "Little" and all sold the same way. There is no size menu. The only choice is Keychain: No for $7, or Keychain: Yes for $8, which adds a ring for a backpack, lanyard or set of keys.

The product pages do not list a measurement for these. If size matters, for a display case or a cake topper, ask us before you order and we will measure one.

Each one moves a little differently.

Little Moth Man moves at the arms, legs and wings, and stands up on its own on a desk or shelf.

Little Nessie has joints along the body, so it wiggles side to side and can hold a curve as if it just came up for air. The Little Nessie page shows it in deep blue.

Little Cthulhu sits rather than stands, with its hands on its round belly and its feet out front. The arms and legs move into new poses. It is the best of the four for perching on a monitor or the edge of a bookshelf.

Little Werewolf stands on two feet. The arms swing, the head turns and the middle bends.

The Jackalope Has Been Here All Along

Before this group arrived, the Jackalope was our only cryptid. It is a jackrabbit with a set of antlers, drawn in clean detailed lines, and it bends and curls like any of our flexis.

It comes in one version at $7, so ordering is quick: type a color and add it to the cart. It sits well next to Bigfoot, since both belong to the same kind of campfire story, and it is a good pick for anyone in Texas or the West who grew up seeing jackalope postcards.

What a Set of Cryptid Toys Costs

Shipping is free on orders over $35 with Economy, and $3.99 below that. Here is how a few sets add up.

A $2 sighting. A Micro Bigfoot and a Micro Alien come to $2, plus $3.99 shipping. It is the cheapest way to see the designs in hand before buying bigger.

The Little Four as keychains. Moth Man, Nessie, Cthulhu and the Werewolf with rings come to $32. Add a Large Bigfoot at $6 and the order is $38 and ships free.

All seven on one shelf. A Large Bigfoot and a Large Alien ($12), the Little Four without rings ($28) and the Jackalope ($7) come to $47, shipped free.

The display pair. An X-Large Bigfoot and an X-Large Alien are $30 together. Add Little Nessie at $7 and the order reaches $37, so the shipping is free and the lake monster comes along.

Colors: The Sighting Colors or Something Stranger

Every product page has a Custom color box above Add to cart. Type what you want there. If that color is out when your order comes up, we message you with the closest match before printing.

The colors in the photos are the ones people recognize:

Bigfoot in brown with tan face and hands.

The Alien in bright green.

Moth Man in a metallic blue gray with black eyes.

Nessie in deep blue.

Cthulhu in soft mint green with black eyes.

The Werewolf in warm brown with black eyes and nose.

Changing the color changes the feel. A gray Alien looks like the classic sighting report, a purple Cthulhu looks more like the deep sea, and a black or gray Werewolf looks more like a wolf than a teddy bear. A white Bigfoot works as a Yeti, though we do not sell a separate Yeti design. If you are unsure, the photo color is always a safe choice.

Where Cryptid Toys Fit: Halloween, Desks, Bags and Story Time

Halloween is the obvious one. The Werewolf and Moth Man sit well with the skeletons, bats and crows in our Halloween decorations guide, and $1 Micro Bigfoots and Aliens make treat bag fillers that outlast the candy. Each piece is printed to order and ships within 1 to 3 business days, so order soon if it needs to arrive by October 31.

A desk or monitor suits Little Cthulhu, which sits, and Little Moth Man, which stands on its own. Both are small enough not to get in the way.

Backpacks and keys suit the $8 keychain versions of the Little Four, or the $7 Bigfoot and Alien keychains. A cryptid on a backpack is a good conversation starter at school.

Story time and hide-and-seek suit a Micro or Mini Bigfoot. Hide it somewhere in the house or yard and let a child go looking for the sighting. Small pieces like these are for children past the stage of putting things in their mouths.

Common Questions About Cryptid Toys

Are cryptid toys only for Halloween?

No. They suit anyone who likes legends, camping or space, any month of the year. Halloween is simply when most people think of them.

Why do Bigfoot and the Alien have six sizes when the others have one?

They come from different design lines. Bigfoot and the Alien are sold on our classic size ladder, while the Little designs are sold in one small size with an optional ring.

Can I order a matched set in one color?

Yes. Type the same color in the Custom color box on each product page, or add a note in the cart saying you want the whole order to match.

What if one arrives broken?

Every piece is inspected joint by joint before it ships, and our product pages offer a free reprint if it arrives broken. Message us with a photo and we will sort it out.

Pick Cryptid Toys by Size Menu, Then Legend

Start with how you want to use it. If you need a range of sizes, a $1 pocket piece or a 6 inch shelf piece, Bigfoot and the Alien are the two with the full ladder. If you want one small figure that clips to a bag or perches on a desk, the Little Four are $7 each, or $8 with a ring, and the Jackalope is $7.

Then pick the legend and the color. The photo colors are the ones people recognize, and the Custom color box is there for anything stranger. A full set of all seven ships free.

At Cosmic 3D Creations, every cryptid toy is printed to order in premium PLA in Como, Texas, inspected joint by joint and shipped within 1 to 3 business days. If you would rather see Bigfoot in person, check the Canton Trade Days dates. The next show is October 29 to November 1 at booth 4268/4269, and to pick up an order there, message us before you order.
