New Flexi Toys: A Baby Dachshund, a Mummy, a Heart and Seven More Designs

Ten New Flexi Toys: blog cover from Cosmic 3D Creations with 3D printed flexi toys

This post is for anyone who has bought from us before and wants to know what is new. On October 22 we added ten new flexi toys to the shop: two Baby Dachshunds, a Baby Opossum, a Baby Sheep, a Baby Zebra, a Baby Iguana, a Neon Stripe Axolotl, a Heart, a Mummy and a Rock Man.

All ten are print-in-place flexi toys in premium PLA, and all ten share one size menu, from a 1 inch Micro at $1 to a 6 inch X-Large at $15, plus a $7 Keychain. You can mix them in any combination and the prices stay the same.

Because every one of these new flexi toys uses the same sizes and prices, you can choose by the animal or character first and pick the size afterwards.

Ten New Flexi Toys on One Size Menu

Here is the whole group and where each one sits in the shop. All ten are also in our Pocket Friends collection, which is the easiest place to see them side by side.

Pets: the Baby Dachshund and the Baby Dachshund With Bow.

Woodland, farm and zoo: the Baby Opossum, the Baby Sheep and the Baby Zebra.

Water and reptiles: the Neon Stripe Axolotl and the Baby Iguana.

Characters: the Heart, the Mummy and the Rock Man.

One thing to know before you shop: "Baby" is part of the design name, not a size. A Baby Sheep comes in Micro, Mini, Regular, Large, X-Large and Keychain like the others. It is a young, round-faced version of the animal, drawn with big eyes and a short body.

Two Baby Dachshunds: Plain or With a Bow

The two dachshunds are the same design. Both are chocolate brown with floppy ears, big round eyes and a long body made of articulated segments. The body bends into a curve, folds into a sit or stretches out long, and it stays where you leave it.

The Baby Dachshund is the plain pup. It suits a dachshund owner, or anyone who likes a long dog that wiggles.

The Baby Dachshund With Bow adds a pink bow on top of the head. Everything else is the same, including the price at every size.

If you are matching a real dog, type its coat into the Custom color box, for example "black body, tan face and legs" or "cream". These two are a different design from the one-size $12 Dachshunds in our dog breed figurines guide. The breed dogs are realistic and come in one size. The babies are cartoon pups and come in six.

Three More Babies: Opossum, Sheep and Zebra

The Baby Opossum has a white face, a dark gray body, small pink feet and a curled pink tail. The body bends and the tail swings, and it will hold a playing-dead pose on a shelf for as long as you like. It joins our woodland animals, and it is a good pick for someone who already loves our larger Opossum.

The Baby Sheep has a bumpy white wool coat, a soft peach face and big dark eyes. It leans, turns its head and curls up. In a farm set it sits well beside a cow or a pig, and in spring it suits an Easter basket.

The Baby Zebra is white with black stripes, a black mane and a black muzzle. It bends and twists from a trot into a lazy lie-down, and it gives a zoo set something besides the usual lion and elephant.

All three look best at Large (3 inch) or X-Large (6 inch) if you want to see the face and coat clearly. At Micro (1 inch), they read more as a shape than a portrait.

The Neon Stripe Axolotl and the Baby Iguana

The Neon Stripe Axolotl is black from its gills to its tail, with a lime green stripe down the back. The tail sweeps side to side and the whole body curls up or stretches out. It is a darker, bolder take on the axolotl, and it stands out in a row of pastel ones. If you collect axolotls in several colors, this is the one that looks least like the rest.

The Baby Iguana is leaf green from its round head to the spiky ridge along its back. It curls up, lies flat or hangs over the edge of a monitor. We covered it with the other new reptiles in our guide to gifts for reptile lovers, so we keep it short here.

Three Characters: The Heart, the Mummy and the Rock Man

These three are not animals. Each has arms, legs and a face, so they wave, sit and lean rather than curl.

The Heart is bright red with big round eyes, a small smile and stubby arms and feet. It is the easiest of the ten to give for a reason: a thank-you, a get-well note, or Valentine's Day in February. In a lunchbox, the Mini (1.5 inch) says the same thing a note does and lasts longer.

The Mummy is mint green, wrapped in layered bandages, with big dark eyes peeking out. It looks more friendly than scary, so it suits a young child who likes Halloween but not the frightening parts. It also sits well with the skeletons and bats from our Halloween designs.

The Rock Man is a sturdy, rounded figure with big dark eyes. Our photo shows it in a gold finish. It can stand, sit or strike a pose, which makes it a good desk piece, and it takes a stone gray or a bright color just as well.

Sizes and Prices for the New Flexi Toys

Every new flexi toy in this post has the same six choices in its Size menu.

Micro (1 inch), $1: for a pocket, a party favor bag or a prize box. It is too small for a child who still puts things in their mouth.

Mini (1.5 inch), $1.75: for a lunchbox or a stocking.

Regular (2 inch), $2.75: for a desk or a small hand.

Large (3 inch), $6: the best size for fidgeting, and the size where faces and markings show clearly.

X-Large (6 inch), $15: for display on a shelf.

Keychain, $7: adds a ring for a backpack, a lanyard or a set of keys.

These are the same sizes and prices as most of our classic flexi toys, so a Large Baby Zebra is the same 3 inches as a Large Axolotl or a Large Fox.

What a Set of New Flexi Toys Costs

Economy shipping is free on orders over $35, and $3.99 below that. Here are four ways to put the new designs together.

All ten in Micro: $10, or $13.99 with shipping. It is a cheap way to see every new design and decide which ones you want bigger.

All ten in Mini: $17.50, or $21.49 with shipping. It fills a small display shelf or a row of lunchbox surprises.

All ten in Large: $60, with free shipping. This is the fidget-sized set, one of each design.

For a dachshund family: both Baby Dachshunds in X-Large and a Heart in the Keychain size, $37, with free shipping.

A single Large Mummy, Heart or Rock Man is $6, or $9.99 with shipping. If you add one to a bigger order, it rides along at no extra shipping cost.

Common Questions About New Flexi Toys

Can I choose different colors?

Yes. Type the colors you want in the Custom color box above Add to cart, main color first. Leave it blank to get the colors in the photo. If a color is out when we print, we message you with the closest match before we start.

Will the Mummy arrive in time for Halloween?

Probably not by mail if you order today. Each piece is printed and shipped in 1 to 3 business days, and then it has to travel. We are at Canton Trade Days, Pavilion 4000, booth 4268/4269, from October 29 to November 1. If you want to collect a Mummy there, message us before you order and we will tell you whether we can have it ready.

Are the new flexi toys safe for small children?

The Large and X-Large sizes are chunky and easy to hold. Keep Micro and Mini sizes away from children who still put things in their mouths, and keep any flexi out of a hot car, since PLA softens above about 140°F.

Is the Baby Dachshund smaller than your other dogs?

Only if you choose a smaller size. "Baby" describes the look of the design, a young pup with a round face. At X-Large it is 6 inches, the same as any other X-Large flexi on this size menu.

Pick New Flexi Toys by the Design, Then the Size

Start with the design that suits the person: a Baby Dachshund for a dog lover, the Baby Opossum or Baby Sheep for an animal fan, the Neon Stripe Axolotl for an axolotl collector, the Heart for a note without words, the Mummy for a young Halloween fan, and the Rock Man for a desk.

Then pick the size. Choose Micro or Mini for pockets and favor bags, Large for fidgeting, X-Large for a shelf, and Keychain for a bag. Because all ten new flexi toys share one price list, a mixed set costs the same as ten of one design.

At Cosmic 3D Creations, every new design is printed to order in Como, Texas, in the colors you type in the Custom color box, and we check each joint before it ships within 1 to 3 business days. To meet us in person, the next Canton Trade Days dates are on our events page.
